Jan Egeland is a power ballad about Norwegian politician and international human rights advocate Jan Egeland, which debuted on the 30 September 2012 episode of I Kveld Med Ylvis.
Jan Egeland: the man[]
Jan Egeland began his career as a member of Norway’s Labour Party. He served as State Secretary in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1990–1997) and was Chair of Amnesty International Norway.
Egeland was the United Nations Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator from June 2003 to December 2006.
Egeland has been the Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council since August 2013. He also holds a post as Professor II at the University of Stavanger. (source)
